Who doesn’t feel on top of the world when clients love your work? It’s one of the best feelings in the world, and one of the things that drives many of you. In fact, many of you may have started a photography business when you began to receive affirmation from friends and family about your photography.
It probably didn’t take long to realize that everyone reacts to your work differently. Some simply aren’t gushers. They politely thank you in few words and you’re left to wonder if they are happy with the experience.
Perhaps you’ve encountered a disappointed client. This can really, really hurt. After all, you put your heart and soul into everything you do. You wonder if it’s you or them. It can be a tough pill to swallow.
If you find yourself living for the high that compliments can bring and constantly fearing the potential for criticism, you may find it difficult to grow and reach your potential as an artist and entrepreneur.
